The joint stock company DanSteel was established in 2002 on the basis of Danish Steel Works Ltd
enterprise founded in 1940. The company is located in convenient location at the port of Frederiksvaerk in Denmark, just one hour drive from Copenhagen.
JSC DanSteel produces high quality steel sheets for shipbuilding, transport sector, fast-paced sector of wind energy as well for manufacturing of boilers. For the production of metal sheets raw materials - slabs are used from the Novolipetsk Steel Factory.
Company DanSteel is constantly modernizing production, following the latest market trends and takes into account aspects of the surrounding nature environment.NLMK DanSteel A/S enjoys an excellent location in Frederiksværk, Denmark, less than an hour from Copenhagen. The convenient geographical location together with the company’s very own port make it possible to deliver by sea, rail or road as preferred by the customer and within a very short time. At the same time, having its own port means easy access to raw materials such as slabs, mainly from NLMK.
Specialising in hot-rolled steel plates, it offers a wide range of dimensions, with thickness between 6 and 150mm, and widths between 1000 and 3250mm. With its new normalising units, it can now heat-treat up to 70% of its production.
NLMK DanSteel A/S has also opened a service centre for transforming plates, in order to shorten lead times for its customers. DanSteel A/S' material is hot-rolled, normalised rolled, thermomechanically (TM) rolled or normalised after rolling, according to industry standards and customers requirements.
NLMK DanSteel A/S plate production programme includes structural steel, steel for shipbuilding, boilers and pressure vessels, as well as steel for windmills, in which field the company has become the benchmark. Through its ongoing investment plan, the company is constantly developing its product range to consolidate its presence in existing and new markets.
